The Westfield San Francisco Centre occupies a historic emporium under a massive neoclassical dome. Using architectural mapping and immersive media, Obscura illuminated the space with a media montage titled "Illuminique", an animated story set in a 19th-century toymaker’s workshop. Through the magic of projection mapping, a cast of familiar holiday characters populated the dome’s interior, accompanied by music from a mechanical orchestra. For the show’s finale, the holiday brigade filled the dome’s interior to create a gigantic music machine—and an unmatched sensory experience.
